The mid-sized luxury car, Acura TL from the house of Acura, a subsidiary of Honda was first introduced in 1996. The model was also called as Honda Inspire. The TL version is one of the best selling vehicles for Acura and it has ranked as the second best selling car in United States. Till today, four generations of Acura TL models had been released and the model released in 2008 is a 2009 model.
The current generation TL is a luxury car from the house of Acura. The top selling luxury model is expected to increase the sales of the company by 5.8 percent by 2012.
The new model is featured with the most powerful engine, SH-AWD system included in it. The competitors to the new model are Mercedes Benz E-Class and C-Class, Audi A4 and A6, Lexus IS, ES, GS and sedans and BMW 5-series models. It is the first time in the history of Acura to offer the vehicle in front wheel drive or all wheel drive. The new Acura TL is a precise and powerful performance luxury sedan model. The all wheel drive to the car is to improve the winter driving capability and it also enhances the sporty handling capability.
Under the hood, the sports car is powered by a 3.7 liter engine that can develop power up to 300 hp. Probably the engine used in the TL is same as to the engine used in the RL version.
